History
College Publisher's technology platform was established in 1999
in Boston, Massachusetts.
Emerson College alumni
Karsten Robbins, Kai
Pradel, and Jon Block
teamed up to create a |

content management solution made specifically for the needs of the campus
newsroom. Robbins and Pradel founded College Publisher, Inc.
and began marketing the product to newsrooms all over the
Northeast. After some success, the team opened a small office
in Cambridge, Massachusetts and began to expand the network.
Soon thereafter, College Publisher was purchased by Y2M: Youth
Media and Marketing Networks and moved its operation into
the heart of Boston.
This small company that was organized in a studio apartment
soon became one of the most influential organizations in
the world of college media. College Publisher has continued
to grow its network and release new versions of technology
since its inception in 1999. A loosely connected group of
five online newspapers with no advertisers has grown into
the largest media network of over 450 sites that services
top advertising clients and showcases some of the most elite
campus newspapers in the nation.
